Recently I have been experimenting with an old polaroid camera that I bought for a fiver; good job too as the film from the ‘Impossible project’ costs £17.00 inc p&p! So every picture counts…

These images are using the ‘Impossible project’ film and are of the War Memorial in Aberystwyth. I took them because I have always thought that the Angel on the top looks as if she is just about to launch herself off the top of the tower. And the women below also looks as if she its just about to jump off too. It is a very striking monument; very classical in its design and considered one of the most beautiful in Britain.  Here is a link to its history if you want to find out more about it  http://pilgrim.ceredigion.gov.uk/index.cfm?articleid=7898

’till next time! :)

Ok…so I tried to create my own ‘Winter Wonder Land’ by making a homemade Snow globe…  My efforts at this failed badly hehehehe! But I thought I would share it with you as I think it’s funny.  I hope I have more  luck with making crafty stuff in the New Year…

Wishing all my blogger friends a happy New Year!!!!!

Monster in the tank!

It’s been so rainy and grey today so finding these lovely and cheerful French macaroons for sale in my local supermarket was wonderful! How sweet they are to look at as well as being so good to eat (too good!)  And I love the cream ‘between’!

Deer me!

Deer me!

Oh and my neck is much better now and I’ve also found some pink fizz too! Cheers :)

I still have one more day of work to go before I’m off for a whole week, yay! Unfortunately most of this time will be taken up working on my dissertation, boo!

For the last 5 years I have been doing a part-time degree course sponsored though my work (which is very kind of them) and I’m now in my final year. Learning is great but sometimes the reality of all the work that needs completing can be overwhelming. Still it will be good to finish it…at last!

Also I’ve done something to my neck…slept on it badly or something and I can hardy move it now. I’m walking around like a robot! I’ve taken some ibuprofen which seems to of helped, but if it still doesn’t get better soon I can’t see myself doing lots Christmas partying! Someone at work mentioned ominously about a neck brace; which brought on fits of laughter from my work mates at the thought of me sitting rigidly at the Christmas dinner table with a silly paper hat on my head and a big white collar around my neck!  (What a wonderful photo opportunity)

Anyway I’ve been wondering around my house taking pictures of little things again to cheer myself up and I thought I would post them. I hope you have a great Christmas and a fab new year…

Happy Christmas

A couple of weeks ago western Europe was covered in a thick layer of fog. It only lasted a couple of days, but it seemed to me to last for a lot longer. The days stayed very cold, gloomy and gray and the nights where closed in and mysterious. I was in Amsterdam with my family at this time and with its maze-like streets and canals the fog gave the city a strange dampened down atmosphere, a bit like being in a dream. The cyclists would suddenly materialise out of the fog ringing their bells and I would have to jump out of their way. It was beautiful and strange, but in the end it was all about waiting for the fog to lift…
